Opinion and Fact are 2 extremely dissimilar things. They're like oil and water, both might be liquid, but they're still extremely dissimilar. They've different formations, and for one thing, they do not really mix up well. Opinion and Fact and self opinion might very well be considered as Einstein and Mozart, both may be legends, but both have different specialties and fields, both were also born in different centuries and timelines. Actually, all I am saying is that opinion and fact together with the associated news and commentary are 2 greatly different things.
First of all, the chief different between opinion and fact is their composition. Facts are composed of well, facts. They're composed of well-researched and true words. For example, "the world is round" is a fact, that is because the world is round, though not proper circle, but it still is round. Opinion, though, isn't false. Opposing to what people say and think about opinion, that opinion is the complete opposite of fact, and opinion is a biased phrase or sentence about something. Such as, an opinion would be "Lebron is better than Kobe Bryant". First of all, that's an opinion as that is not a well-researched fact and that has not been proved. You will occasionally find anyone contradicting your statement, and they'll be expressing their own opinions, and the sequence will continue on. So, basically, the different among opinion is fact is that opinion is what you think about something while fact isn't what you think, but what really is that anything.
It would be wise to know the dissimilarity between the two of them because you will encounter both opinion and fact in school, during work, and in your daily routines, and not knowing which is that will definitely harm you and will make you feel stupid in the future.
