(In fact, that is precisely how I learnt the majority of my English, and that's how I learnt a lot of bad spoken English, too. Still, the positives massively outweigh the negatives, of course.)
One more tip I can offer you is you should constantly work on bettering your language. Listening and speaking is not enough - what if you are listening to a person who makes a lot of grammar mistakes whenever he speaks English, and you don't even know that he is making mistakes? Don't worry - I'll tell you what will happen - you will pick his bad habits, and you will start speaking the same kind of English he does.
You must also read lots of books. I told you in the beginning of my post that I was against reading a lot of English textbooks, but that is the advice I give to those who are not practicing speaking English to begin with. If you are already trying to speak English every day, then you will probably sooner or later face the challenge of finding the right kinds of words to say, and that's when reading books will help you. So basically speaking, the last of my speaking english tips is to just read a lot of books.
